Old FE Forum issues ?
« on: July 12, 2019, 04:03:20 PM »
Went to the old FE Forum today to check up on what has happened the last week since I have been on vacation, and the site locked up my computer requesting my identity, e-mail, and password.  I had to do a hard shut down to get out of the lockup.  What gives?   Anyone else had that issue.  I haven't renewed my login, or posted there in months because of the new format, and I hate not knowing why or how they can lock onto your system and freeze it.  Just another reason to stay away from their new forum.  Joe-JDC

I just went over and have no issue.  No weird prompts or anything of that nature.

I also tried unsucsessfully to log onto the new version of the FE Forum, but could never get in. And then a few days ago, it also showed me as a member, and I was able to post again. Looks like Bill B has either given up  on posting, or was also unable to post, as there have been not Bill outbursts for quite some time. Sure a lot less traffic over there since the format change. Too bad, it used to be pretty busy on Anthonys site. Certainly much less drama and BS over here!

I transferred and was able to view and write for about a month. I got notice I would be blocked if I didn't anti up to keep my name and password intact on tapa talk. I said forget it.  According to what was posted It was supposed to continue as when Anthony had it. I can still read but can`t talk or search for the original forum info. Its to bad a lot of good info is lost. Jays forum is by far more enjoyable without all the drama.

For a few months I was getting a message saying I needed to change over. I ignored it thinking I would use the forum for a short time and evenrually be locked out. That changed on it's own. I am greeted with this message after successfully login in.

The previous fordfe.com members seemed to be more in the know about history and actually had these things as daily drivers. If I had posted engine codes three years back we would have a nice library of what the books showed and how or if it was different than what actually happened. There was and still is some wise crack that will help you turn a 352 tuning question into a 445 stroker / RPM build.

I made all the effort to become a 'member' there and all was well. But several months ago it didn't know me and after several fizzled attempts to sort things out, I just gave up. Makes my life simpler.

I just gave up on the old site and stay here now.   I prefer this format , also.  No more password issues
