I've had a set of Eagles in my 427 for almost 20 years now, no issues. 6000 limit, which I bump up to 6500 when racing, which isn't all that often. Back when I first built the engine, there weren't many choices for aftermarket rods, at least in a reasonable price range.
I've heard all the bad stories about Eagles, but I think that almost always applies to dedicated racing applications. Having said that though, I still want to change them out next time I go through the engine. Scat seems to be the better choice for affordable rods.
