Yep, that’s him.  Haven’t seen that video, looks like he got a little greasy half way down.

That looks like some real top end excitement, wonder what happened there?  Cool car, runs real strong

It was right at the shift, so maybe something to do with unloading the suspension? If it's all stock stuff, I might look for a busted leaf or flexing hangars maybe? Looked a little scary to me!

This one is from earlier in day I believe. The crowd would cheer whenever he ran and cheer when he came back down the return road. Dennis mentioned changing the rev limiter after this run.

He's knocked about a full second off his ET since the FER&R.

Looking good.
Looks like maybe he drove it out of the groove a bit to the left?  Then shifting it really got it loose?

Hi guys. Dennis here. You're not going to believe this but I did that on purpose  :). Of course I'd never convince you of that .... nor can I seem to convince people that “ it's just a 390”. Either way the car is a blast. Here's the true story though - earlier in the day I was playing with tire pressures. I had knocked it down to about 10 psi . At the same time I had spoken to Brent and told him that I was running in the low 13’s. He suggested that a “ good hard launch” may get me into the 12’s......
So on his advice I left the line hard and the right rear slick spun on the steel rim. It moved about an inch. While doing so it must have lost some air because when I checked it after the run it was at about 7 lbs. Ya - it was a little scary. But that's the reason for the sideways action.

Anyway - I aired them up to about 15 psi for the next run and was able to pull a 13.10. I noticed the clutch slipping earlier in the day as Brent had mentioned.

I was able to change it out and have run it multiple times since and I'm in the mid 12’s. This is all new to me as I haven't formally drag raced . I think the car has a little more left in it . At the end of the day I am thrilled with how it's going and my son and I are having the time of our lives. And really - it's just a 390”.

    Dennis ,
Do yourself a favor and start a drivetrain fund because the faster you go the more parts you're going to break in the drivetrain. Congrats on the great ETs , you are moving allot of weight there!

Hmm, magic calculators say 11.80-11.90@113mph, they would be pretty sweet for the big wagon

I have a REAL soft spot for wagons! The biggest bracket race I've ever won was in my '66 Fairlane wagon. Pulled the wheels on L60 Goodyear Polyglas street tires almost 40 years ago. Now I have a "no traction" '67 Ranchero. Need to get another wagon!
