Original Paint 1965 F250 Deluxe Camper Special
« on: November 14, 2012, 09:50:26 PM »
Really hate to have to put this truck up for sale as thought it was a lifetime keeper. Been ill for too long so its gotta go so I can get some other projects done.

This truck was bought new in Seattle, WA and used only for camping in summer time, always garaged. Owner died and willed it to his nephew whom I bought it from nearly 5yrs ago.

After 40+ yrs it had a couple small oil leaks but still ran great. The battery had splattered acid over the fenderwell do I decided to pull the engine and seal it up along with take car of the battery acid splatter.  Lets just say after 400 hrs time under the hood along with the engine being freshened up, I got a bit carried away like I usually do.

Only things that I really changed was the intake manifold as it was cracked. I installed a Brand new Edelbrock Performer with the name etc ground off along with a NOS 1849 Holley (550CFM)  Everything else is stock. Still has the original positive battery cable. I did use aftermarket belts & hoses but all the rest is stock Ford.

Today I added new tires in a radial for the tune of over 650.00 along with a fresh sandblast and re-paint of the wheels.  (non split rim style) The truck originally had spit rims which was factory with the camper special's.

The paint except for tailgate is still original and looks great!  OVerall a wonderful truck one could drive anywhere.  Call or email for more details.

And yes the paint is nearly 50 yrs old. Its got to be one of the few nice original paint trucks of this vintage in the country.  Inside the box is also cherry shape with no dents etc but there are wear marks from the slide in camper.

Absolutely beautiful!  You gotta love that oil bath air cleaner. I had a '67 352 2v equipped that way.  Amazing how fresh the paint looks too...
66 Fairlane 500, 347-4V SB stroker, C4

BTTT, Motivated to sell this truck. Trying to add on to shop & just do not have the funds. Need to finish my EcoBoost and 427 Project trucks. This will really help to put a dent in that to get a cover over my equip and parts. Just no room to move in current shop.

If one were to make an attempt to build this truck it would easily cost double or more my asking price.
