I got all the holes and cracks repaired in the fiberglass. Next I fabbed some better hinges and lid brace. I removed the orange shag carpeting and used some roll on bedliner stuff for the interior and today I sprayed it the same color as my Mustang so it will match. The clear went on pretty good but with some orange peel. Since it is kind of wavy to begin with( I didn't want to put a gallon of filler in the lid to flatten out) I am trying to decide if it's worth the effort to color sand and polish it out.

That's gonna look good behind the Mustang, Alan. Can you fit both wheels in it? Since the fiberglass is so wavy, I'd be afraid of sanding through the clear in spots. It'd be hard not to unless you hand sanded it very carefully. Can't believe you got rid of the shag carpeting though. Kinda loses the whole "vibe" ;D ;)

Yeah, it was a tough call removing the orange shag.  ::) That is what I was thinking about on polishing out the paint. I have already spent waaay too much time(and money) on it and I don't want to spend another month of my spare time wet sanding it or worse yet break through the clear . I did that in a couple of places on my Mustang and the more I tried to fix it the worse it got so there just ended up being a couple of bad spots in the car. As far as the slicks go, no they both won't fit inside so I have extended the tongue and built a carrier(very similar to the carrier I had on my Galaxie) that mounts to it in front of the box.

I got my DW trailer all back together and I couldn't resist bringing it out to see what it looks like attached to my car. As soon as I get my fenders in and painted I'll be done.  8)

Very nice, Alan! Looks great behind the car, just like I thought it would, and you won't even know that thing's behind you. Nice tongue length too, much easier for backing. Now you have me wanting to come up with something cool for mine ;D
