2019 Detroit Autorama
« on: March 05, 2019, 03:03:17 PM »
Hey guys. Just had an amazing time last week at the Detroit Autorama. I was part of a build team from JF Kustoms in Osoyoos, B.C. Canada that brought a 1964 Pontiac Acadian dubbed "Anvil" owned by Danny Jadresko from Victoria ,B.C. I'm the lead painter in the shop and was over the moon with a Great 8 win. If you have never gone, put it on your list. This is one show anyone passionate about cars should not miss. Amazing Cars built by a lot of very talented people. Of the highlights of my career so far. I was cornered to do several TV interviews ( a little out of my comfort zone) and will be on an episode of Rust Valley restores(new Canadian car reality series), met so many great people, and a few legends. My amazing wife convinced me to go even though it was our 25th wedding anniversary. I am so fortunate to have her. Several cool FE powered cars there

Great 8!   That's quite the accomplishment.  Congrats.

Friend and local builder got picked by Street Rodder as top 10 for the '56 Victoria he did for another friend of mine.

I was up at Detroit last year, the fellow I was working on the '41 Willys wanted to go up and see what the Riddler was all about.  It was a real eye opener for him.  I knew what it was about and was afraid to tell him that no matter how much he thought he was spending was not enough to match a Riddler car.

That's cool! Congrats!! Must feel good to be recognized after so much effort goes into something, especially with that much awesome competition.

Riddler winners are so over the top, I couldn't even imagine how much money is sunk into those cars. Like them or not, I appreciate the amount of work that goes into them by some real craftsman.

Wow John, fame and fortune!

Now you will be able to afford shoes like Barry Meguiar (top pic)

The lower pic.... the guy on the left... is that Ron Jeremy?  (Not that I've seen any of his films...)
