Dragweek registration less than a week away
« on: February 17, 2019, 10:47:35 PM »
Just a heads up for those who might be interested. Registration opens up on Saturday the 23rd at 11:00 am CST.  For me this has always been the most stressful part of the whole event since it usually fills up in less than 10 minutes!

I still have no idea if I want to go or not this year. I guess I've got a whole week to decide though :-\
Does this mean you're definitely going this year, Alan? You know the routine well enough, I'm sure you'll get in if you try.

I'm kind of in the same spot but I am going to try to get entered. I guess everyone is going to be in the boat as far as the route and possible traffic issues. Right now I am working on my DW trailer, trying to get it up to snuff.
You might as well throw in! I have some DW friends that are coming from Australia so I can't use "It's too far away" as an excuse.

I'm not sure I'm going to go this year, and I don't want to drop the $400 on the chance I don't make it.  I think I'll get on the waiting list and see what happens...

I don't want to lose $400 either. Since the waiting list seems to always get in, that may be the best route to take for me also. Thinking again about just doing a 'follow along' for a fun vacation type of thing, and actually getting to enjoy seeing and talking to some of the guys running.

I am also considering the waiting list option. Since I am already entered in RMRW I am not sure I'll be able or will want to swing both events.  Also I still don't like the idea of dealing with all the traffic congestion that is likely on DW.
