Can Trends casidium coated tool steel lifters be reused with different cams like they claim or not?

Their regular tool steel lifters can be used with any camshaft core, cast or steel.  Their DLC lifters can only be used on steel core camshafts.

The regular tool steel lifters work great but they will most likely need the metering discs swapped out to something smaller so that they won’t flood the top end.

I’ve also used the Crower EDM SBF lifters in many applications, up to 7000 rpm and up to 450 lbs open pressure.

Are you sure they're casidium?

All I've seen from Trend is DLC coated, which is a "diamond-like carbon" coating and must be used on steel cores because of the hardness.

Different "trade" names , same process. The reason the coated lifter shouldn't be used on a cast cam is the porosity of the cast iron "chews away " at the coating instead of "sliding" over the smooth finish on a steel billet core. "Some" people "have" used coated lifters on cast iron cams but ONLY with VERY moderate spring pressure ( 100#s on the seat. Yes they can be reused as the surface is non metallic , eliminating the metal to metal contact issue that could kill the cam / lifters.
   Just my personal experience.
