Re: Cloyes, Comp Cams or Ford Racing timing set ?

I don' know about better, but I bought the Ford Racing timing set with the 9 position crank gear. After searching through threads, a lot of the guys here were in favor of it. And I figured I had enough options to get the cam degreed at 106 like Brent told me to do!!

Ford Racing here too (9 way) but on a 351W. Purchased in '94, may be a different maker these days.

interesting, I assumed it would come in last because of the name factor.

Don't forget Jays adjustable timing chain set, makes for advancing & retarding the cam easier, and can still change the cam even after the motors together if used with Jays cover. So depends on your needs.

Jays is the best of the best, and I'd like his cover as well, just cant afford them.

Cloyes makes the Ford racing set.

Other than Rollmaster, many of the other brands listed do not make timing parts - they just supply "boxes"
