jay what company do you use for sohc pistons i need to get 4.35 bore by 4.25 stroke pistons

I've had pistons both from Diamond and from CP.  I like them both, but Diamond is faster and cheaper, and they make a real nice slug, so I would recommend them.

A lot of people just use a Fel-Pro 1020 and modify it for the oil drainback hole.  If you aren't using an oil drainback hole in the block, in other words if you are using drain lines from the head down to the pan, any stock FE head gasket will work.  If you are draining into the hole in the block like a normal cammer, you can cut a hole in the Fel-Pro gasket for the drain hole.  The gasket won't go completely around the drain hole in the block but you can cut another small piece off a junk head gasket to fill in the area around the drain hole, and just use sealer to hold it in place.  Or, you can get a Cometic head gasket.
