Is there a best way to source gasket sets without ending up with a pile of umbrella valve seals, internal water pump gaskets and head gaskets you'll never use?
I prefer the 1020 head gaskets, but I also need gaskets for the valve covers, oil pan, oil pump, timing cover, water pump to block. Also nice to have the foam for the inspection cover.
I guess I'm looking for a performance oriented kit and not a rebuilder. I generally end up buying the rebuilder kit and then source the head gaskets and better oil pan gasket separately.
