Heo, which lines do you need to know about?  I can check my '66 for specific routing.  Off the top of my head the line to the rear wheels runs from a front junction box to the rear on the bottom side of the tunnel.  The line from the junction box to the right front runs across the firewall.  Not sure if the shop manual will also show the line routing.

There is only 1 line on factory 4 wheel drum brakes, I added the 2nd line when I went to 4 wheel disc. Good luck Dan

I need to know all the lines because they have drilled holes here and there
and run the lines....well i think Stevie Wounder have worked on this car. ???
We are converting to a dual master so some lines need to be altered some
but i want to give it a "factory" look
So the line to right front is across the firewall and the line to the rear is
on driverside bottom of the tunnel? Where is the bracket for the rear brakehose
on the body end?  Where  do the line for left  front wheel pass through the inner
fender?
Yes a shopmanual had been nice but i have no one for 66 fairlane sent it with my
Fairlane when i sold it ::)

the rear brake hoose

Heo, the line to the rear runs on the passenger side of the tunnel and terminates at an angle bracket that bolts to the floorpan next to the pass. side rear inner seatbelt anchor.  You can double-check the location by running the flex line from the axle up there.  Cattlefeeder's photo shows the correct rear line routing as it leaves the firewall area.  The line for the LF wheel goes thru a hole on the backside of the shock tower about half-way up then drops down and makes a 180 turn where it lines up with the flex hose bracket.  The line for the RF wheel goes across the firewall as in Cattlefeeder's photo then enters the backside of the shock tower and connects to the flex line bracket same as the LF.  If you run lines for a dual master you will have 2 lines running across the firewall.

Okay Thanks, I think i  run the line to the rear
on drivers side to not have two lines crossing the
firewall and the bolt for the ventilation/ brakehose
is on the driver side and there is no bracket whatsoever
for the flexhose at the rear so i have to fabricate one

The Fairlanes have the rear hose and vent on the right side, Mustangs are on the left side. The holes for the brake line clips along the tunnel should still be there.

Phooey on the dual master, i'm going to use a large single 66 Mustang disc master on my 66 Comet. Those fit the pentroof valve covers much nicer than the dual bowl types.

1966 Fairlanes never came with dual master cylinders, so the factory lines are not especially helpful.  One line routes to the front left brake, and one line goes across the firewall to a junction block that distributes to the front right, as well as a long line to the rear brakes.  For 1967, Fairlanes were standard with a dual master cylinder, as well as optional front disc brakes.  The brake lines in the engine compartment are completely different than what was used in 66.  You may be better off starting with a 67 brake line kit and adjusting as needed.

Heo remember when you fab that bracket for the rear hard line to flex line - the flex line fitting has either a hexagonal shaped or round shape with a flat so the flex line won't try to turn when the axle travels up and down.

Heo, google images has been my friend when I was looking for brake and fuel line routing for my car. Cars on EBay was another good source. If I saw enough of them taking the same route, then I figured I was good.
