Perfomer RPM w/ Oil Fill

I was told this weekend that the early Edelbrock Performer RPM intakes had the provision for the oil fill tube? Fact? I searched through quite a few pictures and haven't seen one yet.

Mine is in South Pittsburgh, TN  but I am pretty sure the raised area for a (filler neck) flange is cast into the back valley area.  It is not machined or anything like that, but there is certainly material there that wouldn't otherwise need to be.

Here is mine. It is an early RPM. it is machined for a PCV or road draft. It was just painted, so I left the masking on it to keep it clean until I install it....

I have never seen one with an oil fill, and there doesn't look to be any room for it on any casting.  Maybe they were mistakenly referring to the road draft tube port or maybe they were thinking way early and talking about an F427?

I think that's the case. I'd really like to run a performer RPM on my 428 but I also want it to look kind of factory stealthy at the same time. The two intakes I've kind of been "forced" into are a sidewinder or a blue thunder. I want to run the original Thunderbird valve covers without vents so this is where my design criteria is kind of being limited.

I think you're probably correct though, the guy was probably mistaken for the rear PCV.

The Edelbrock F427 could have an oil filler tube IIRC

I ran into that using the Street Dominator on my 61 wagon. I cut a hole for the road draft tube at the rear but that wouldn't work out for the oil fill and breather so I carved a slotted hole between the first runner and the water crossover and used a smaller diameter tube that flares out at the cap end.
 On my sheetmetal intake on the HR I used no hole valve covers so it also has an oil fill tybe between the #1 and #2 intake runners. It angles forward so the fill cap is in the proper spot.
