Thanks, but too expensive to make it fit my ideas with a 482

1965 Comet Caliente HT. 289 auto, PS
Once I get the title straightened out it's ready to sell. I bought it new in 1965 but because I was 17 the Michigan title was in my fathers name (now passed away).

I last drove it in 1972 and stored it inside since then. Engine is original but stuck.A slight bit of rust in non-critical areas from storage. 65K miles

I'd like $6500 for it and I can deliver from Brookings Oregon to: Seattle, San Francisco, SLC or even Denver or Michigan if you could wait for my next trip.

I would definitely be interested in the car. In fact I had one (the 289 hi performance) in Detroit Michigan in 1965/born and raised. Even the color was the same. It's my all time favorite car. What's the deal with the title if I may ask? Thanks!

Title was in my fathers name (He died in 2010) and my sister handled the estate, she lost the transferred title so I paid Mich. Sect of State to do a search. They found it so now I've got to have her sign a transfer of title (notarized) to me. She just doesn't respond since I moved away from the family in Michigan to Oregon when I retired, 2003. She told my son that he can get the title. He lives in Brookings Oregon now, as well, after he somehow got a job transfer with Spectrum/Charter Cable. as a senior tech their short on the experience here in that position.
I bought the car in Rochester Michigan in 1965.
PM me an E-mail and I'll send detailed pictures.
Wownes  will get the first crack at it though, no reply so far. I will be traveling to Denver in September but not Michigan until May 2019.

Go for it James, I prefer a Fairlane or Mustang.

Woven,

I have a friend that has a 67 Fairlane that is a pretty solid car. He also has 2 others that would need more work, 1 is a 67 and the other may be a 66 Fairlane. All located in south east Minnesota, long ways from Georgia....., if your at all interested PM me for his name and phone number. He doesn't do much via computer or internet but is a good guy to talk to.

Thanks for the tips guys. Minnesota is too far for me, especially with the road salt, and the one in Fla is a post car.
