Tony, I also thought about welding an angle or "jog" onto the short CVR extension, but clocking it correctly, and keeping it that way, would be difficult I would think. I also thought about having it tig welded onto the pump, but that creates other problems since I don't think the pump and motor are easily disconnected from each other. I also considered spacing it out as you mentioned, but I want to use the low mount alternator system, just as you did. I'll also be adding electric fans, so that may present a space problem if it were spaced out.
I am going to the Reunion, so I'd gladly buy the hose from you if you bring it. I don't know how well it would line up with my stock type radiator either, but there's only one way to find out. If I have to cut it and make a metal/stainless tube assy. to get to the correct spot, that is also an option. My engine is and will be limited on movement, so that shouldn't cause an issue with stress on the radiator.
