1963 Galaxie 500XL

This is one of the cars we're sending down the road to make some more garage space (other is a 68 Mustang). My uncle originally purchased this from a shop in Texas called "Flat 12 Gallery". The plan was to put a stroker FE in it, but then he found his black R-code and all the plans for this car kind of vanished. I spent a solid chunk of my summer working through all the little details on this car making sure everything works so we felt comfortable selling it. There were some things that were disappointing when we first brought it home and I didn't want to leave the next buyer in the same position. Please share the link with anybody who may be interested.

Thanks Drew. I'm going to head up to the shop tonight and take some more detailed pictures. A lot of cars on eBay appear nice from 10', but this one is actually super clean.

Agree a clean machine!  Price is reasonable too from my experience with these cars.  I also had a lot of details that needed to be attended to make my Galaxie safe, reliable, and with all systems working.

Cool car!

I had the same boxtop (352, Wimbledon white, auto, no air, one really clean city car) that was built and lived in the S.F. Bay area that a grandma had driven for years. Her niece got the car via inheritance and drove it back to Chicago where I bought it for, get this, $1,100 in about '82. Had it for years as a grocery getter but the winter salt did it in. Miss that whale of a car!
