What's it worth? 63 Galaxy 2 door sedan 390
« on: October 25, 2017, 11:41:28 AM »
20 something years ago I bought this 63 Galaxie. The 390 had just been rebuilt, as well as the cast iron cruise-o-matic transmission and the whole front end and power steering. All of that stuff has less than a couple thousand miles on it. Then one day it didn't start and I parked it, temporarily of course. Then I needed the center section out of the 9-inch for something so I borrowed that, and the front wheels got borrowed for something. Well that temporary situation turned into many years and I think it's time to get rid of it. I'd like to see it gone before winter. What would be a good price to ask for this thing to get it to move pretty quick?

To be honest, probably not much. Just judging by the pictures, it looks like it's in pretty fair condition, body wise. But it looks like the top has damage, the interior is shot and most likely, given where it's sitting (for 20 years), the frame is probably shot in the middle area (a bad spot for '60s Galaxies) and the floorboards and maybe the trunk area are probably bad now. If the engine isn't running, then you can't confirm if the tranny is still any good. Without a good going over to check the areas mentioned...maybe $500-$1000 depending on how good all the trim and hard to find parts are. If the floorboards and frame are ok, and you could get the engine running, maybe $1500+.

I'd be happy if some one gave me $700 but the buyers needs to do the work, I just don't have time. I need it gone this weekend . Joel 612-221-0910

It has been up on tires and wood blocks. Not sitting on the ground. Located in Buffalo Minnesota. I have a bobcat to tow it and help load it if you put tires and wheels on it

Make an offer on the wagon. I want it to go away as well. There's also a 66 T-bird back there with no motor

Joel you might want to register for the "Ford FE Fanatics Garage Sale" Facebook page. I've noticed quite a few Minnesota members on there. Make sure it's the "Garage Sale" page you post on.
