I was there for 3 weeks 2 years ago we drove 5000 kilometers.
And we had a full schedule all the time. Flew to Forrest City bought
a Model-T centerdoor drove to Milwaukee to an Indian dealer
Then to Indianapolis To a Bucket -T meeting .A quick visit to CJ Shaker. Then to Survival
Motorsport in Detroit then to good now where and bought a lift kit for a truck.
Then to Harrisburg and went to the Hersey and Carlisle swap and Eastern museum of speed
Mapelgrove For the Topfuel world finals
Then to Winters quickchange factory in York. Then to Dayton Ohio to the Airforce Museum.
Then to Chicago and flew home
1-2 weeks is to short time if you should have time to see anything
on the trip and there is a lot
Ma by we go this Autumn to LA and buy a Bucket-T and
drive it to Harrisburg to ship it home

Yepp. It all come down too how much money i will have. This is a gift to my old man before he gets too old to travel. As we speak, the money says two week. Have also thinking about Colorado and pikes peak, and then drive too LA. Was on vacation inn LA one week inn 2015, and it was a blast. A little short on time there, but for a little boy that have seen nothing but norway, it was good enough  :) 8)

Not all at once. 30, The Old Lincoln Highway has good scenery. Always wanted to go back through Idaho to visit Bear Lake again.

No but lots of driving in Cali. If you go, be sure to drive all the way to the ocean at Malibu and hit one of the few public walkways to the beach. Dangle those toes and get'em wet before leaving!

Most of the time I've used Google Maps to estimate travel time, it has come up about 1/3 short.  That is if Google Maps say 5 hours, figure about 6 1/2 hours.

google map is non stop driving. I went from central pa to vegas & I had 2 overnights, rolling down 15 into vegas at dusk on the 3rd day. When it got dark I just found a motel for the night & hit the road at 7 am. Route 80 to Denver & then 70. I can tell you this, there is absolutely nothing to see from pa to Denver, Rockies are just beautiful as is Utah. Must see is Bryce canyon & Death valley. was going to do Golden gate bridge, but a death in the family forced an early retreat. Came home 40 & 66. Spent two weeks dicking around various national parks, hoover dam & such. Only stayed in Vegas because it was central to the things we wanted to do & was cheap lodging & food. I'd like to do it again & stay north to Washington. I'd really like to do it in the 63, but the 12 mpg will probably be a deal breaker. I rented a car from enterprise & it was nice not to have to worry about breaking down or smoking wildlife with my own vehicle.
Just do it.

So I'm slow & broke, what went wrong?

the GPS more than me until we was outside Washinton we was down to
the southern parts of Virginia before we turned northwest

US interstate highway system fun fact:
Odd numbers (75, 95, 81) are north/south
Even numbers (78, 80, 10) are east/west

Here you go Drew...

If you guys are just going on a road trip to see the sites I would get a road atlas. Google Maps can't show you this detail.

That isn't Georgia, that is Atlanta.  Where I live is so far away from there it is in a different time zone.  I need to set my watch ahead 50 years when I go up state.
