Clutch chatter

EBay find clutch chattering bit too much.
It's ram 12" inch clutch bought from eBay little usage.Had to do some clearancing to bellhousing .It's got new flywheel.
There's bit too much slob in rearend .
Clutch lingage is also warn out wich I'm addreessing next new motor and transmission mounts are on it's way too.
Car is 65 galaxie with 428 wr toploader and 3.00 rear so not easy task to clutch.
Any feedback to whatelse to look.

Any oil whatsoever on the clutch or flywheel
some new flywheels have some waxlike coating
that's a bitch to get rid of you don't see it but
its still there. Use Brake cleaner and steelwoll
An oldtimer trick when they got oil on the clutch
was to pour vinegar (Etikka) down over the clutch
 through the inspection hole in the bellhousing
that all cars had back in the day and it works
tried that on a Mercedes with a chattering clutch
and it worked  drilled a hole in the side of the bell
and put the vinegar in a spraygun with a long tube
and sprayed away with the clutch disengaged

There shouldn't be any oil in clutch disc or flywheel. Cleaned both many time.but will check that too thanks.

You have a 65 the you have the 3 link suspension in the rear
the top rod there is adjustabel on the axleside with a exentric
like on controlarms on some frontend to adjust pinion angle
I dont know what the pinion angle should be
and check the rubber bushings on the rear suspesion

Which RAM kit was it?  What was the disc material?

Don't have the number but it has organic 12" disc 1 3/8" 10 spline hub if I remember right only one choice.

Man, heavy full sized Galaxie, 2.32 low gear close ratio Toploader and 3.00 gears, I think any clutch would shudder at having to performed that type of hard labor!! Have you checked for weak motor or trans mounts?

Rory has the right idea on stuff to check. I'll add that if the throwout bearing arm is well-used, it and/or the pivot it moves on may be allowing an uneven engagement of the bearing on the clutch fingers, hence chatter.

Yes not a easy environment for clutch it's a wide ratio toploader but I don't think it's important.
Have dig into those report when known more.

Actually a wide ratio makes a big difference in that car, or about any car. Has yours been converted to wide ratio, because big input (1 3/8") trannys never came that way? They're easy to convert though, so maybe yours has been?

Like the others were saying, lots of stuff can cause it. Check all mounts and bushings, even on the rear control arms, making sure nothing is worn or sloppy. Bad rubber bushings can easily cause it. If everything is good and solid, then it's time to look at the flywheel or clutch. Did you surface the flywheel when installing the clutch?

New flywheel.
Transmission is mix of parts what managed hog from forrests friends and ebay.

Problem partly solved.
Made new joint to the z-bar /clutch bar coupling and milled z-bar hole bigger for a Teflon bushing. btw z bar ain't no mild steel HSS DRILL won't go deep before it's gone dull.
Car is now driveable little chatter reverse and slow creep forward.
When the motor and tranny mounts come it should be smooth as silk

New motor and tranny mounts and it's gold.
I can get it chatter in reverse but it's not an issue to me .
Rearend bushes are worn also but I'll dig in to that next winter.
Glad that nobody didn't see my stupid grind when I got to highway and let it rip first time.
