Almost finished
« on: April 17, 2017, 10:35:07 PM »
I got the 'Stang painted and all assembled(mostly). I compounded it out Sunday. It looks pretty good as is but I am going to micro polish it while I am at it. It still has a few pretty nice goobers in it and on a couple of those it seemed like the more I tried to fix them the worse they got so I decided to cut my losses for now and move on. I hope to have the final polishing done next weekend then I can start putting in the glass, door handles etc... Overall, even with the warts I still have, it has turned out far better than I dared dream.  8)

Coming along nicely Al. Hope to see it in September. How will you manage without the trunk space of the Galaxy?

Thanks, guys! I still have quite a bit to do before it is road/track ready do I doubt I will have it at DW this. Next year for sure though! I really do like running my Galaxie at Dragweek but from the start I have said I really rather have more of a race car. They just seem to fit better with what Dragweek is all about. It will be hard to give up my cavernous Galaxie trunk though and I'll likely have to join the ranks of the trailer draggers. I did enter the Galaxie for this year but if I can get the Mustang done well...who knows. I do think once I get the final polishing done things will pick up pretty quick.
