Intake Manifold gaskets
« on: March 04, 2017, 07:40:18 PM »
I'm about to put a Ford 2x4 medium riser intake manifold on my 428 Cobra Jet (low riser heads.)  Should I use medium riser or low riser intake manifold gaskets?  I'm guessing since the original 428 Cobra Jet had medium riser ports, I should use a low riser gasket, but not sure.

Use the low riser gaskets, but check that they have enough overlap at the bottom of the ports of the intake manifold to seal.  Most of the low riser gaskets will work; the Mr. Gasket composition gaskets will work for sure...

Sounds like I need to buy some Mr. Gasket gaskets!  Thanks Jay!
