WTB: 1967 390 block or complete motor
« on: August 08, 2016, 07:48:14 PM »
Hi, I am a new member, living in eastern Washington.

I am hoping to find a correct 390 for my 67 cougar GT.  I believe I need a  C6ME block, date coded Jan or Fed of 1967.
Car was built on March 20, so I could also use an early March date code.

Thanks for any help or leads.

Frank

Hi, Id also be interested in correctly dated parts like carb, dizzy, intake.

Are there any northwest wrecking yards that sell Cougar parts?

Thanks,
Frank

I have a nice Carb. Early 1967 390 GT. Holley List 3794 1st week of August 1966. Its from a Nice 67 GTA from Spokane no less . . Bought new there.

Was just going thru all my carbs this weekend thinking it was time to sell a bunch,

I also have a '67 390 GT Holley List 4742

Should have a distributor but will have to check. Do have a alternator adjusting arm

Just checked and I've got what might be a GT intake manifold. It's the large S and has a C7 casting code. Unfortunately the cast date is 7B13. The small S intake I just got off an engine has a C6 Casting code and a 6L11 cast date.  I'm getting another engine next week but it is a small S so I think it was cast in 1966. I'm in Brookings Oregon, on the coast so no idea what shipping would be. Check UPS and FEDEX to your place from Zipcode 97415 Figure 85# and 8" X 26" X 18"  for a crate. A HAMB member wanted a Turbo 350 trans I have and thru Fastenal 200# they wanted $150 to ship to Spokane, he backed out. No Greyhound within 100 miles from here.

Oh forgot to say $20 for the intake and thermostat neck, mostly for the crate and some time.
