Well, if you would have been happy with a 294S, I would expect a 282S on 110 would have very similar low end torque but not have the same high end charge.
However, I have never seen a Comp Cam with any timing set come in that far off, I would recheck to be sure, if you are using the centerline method, switch to check opening and closing events, if you are going by valve events, go with the centerline method
Also be very sure that you have TDC exactly right.
The reason I am concerned is if you made a mistake and the cam is actually correct, it'll be at 102 instead of 106 and although that generally does OK, it does get the intake valves very close
