C6AE-C and C7AE-B rods

Are C6AE-C and C7AE-B rods equal to one another?  I know that they are both 762-774 grams with 3/8 nut and bolt but I am also wondering about performance potential. 

I have a set of 8 mixed ( some are C6 and some are C7 ) reconditioned rods. Assuming that they can be run together, what RPM and power can these reconditioned rods be expected to reliably survive beyond regular mild street use . 

In case anyone is curious about how this mixture happened, here is the short story. At the time, many years ago, I did not have any rods on hand but felt that the much milder build that I was planning for back then would only require a reconditioned stock rod, so the machine shop that I was using provided the rods.  The mixed set is what they came up with.

If these rods won't work out, then can I assume that a good H-beam rod would be the choice?  I am not looking at a huge horsepower number...probably around 400 max and around 6000 to 6500 rpm for street use.  What brand is recommended for this application?

C6 and C7 rods were great rods in their day.
If this is all you have then yes, measure for spec and use them.
If you can step up to a new H beam then yes you could do that as well.
The piece of mind factor is quite high with new rods.

Thanks Scott.  You guys are a great group with great advice. 

Using the those C6/C7 rods, what rpm would you feel comfortable maxing out at on a "get on it once in awhile" street motor? Talking about  400hp max.

You can spin it to 6500 as much as you want if you have the springs for it.
Now it may not stay spinning at some point.
