WHAT MANUFACTURE OF STACKED INJECTION ?
« on: July 09, 2016, 04:41:25 PM »
The seller does not know who's it is.

I've always wanted this injection but most are too expensive.

But, this lower price doesn't mean it's not a piece of crap, only bringing problems.

This is what the seller just told me.

It's possible that Jim Inglese made it.

Without the EFI system that goes with the intake, you'll have to source a stand alone EFI system for stack injection. There is a reason why the good EFI systems out there cost money, especially an EFI system for stack injection. By the time you have an EFI system to run that intake, you'll be around $7k. I'd avoid this ebay ad and just buy a system that has everything you need. In the end, it will prevent expensive mistakes and pitfalls. But that's just me, everyone has their own opinion.

The first thing I saw when I looked at that manifold was the tiny pushrod holes.  Before you could even run that manifold you'd have to test fit it on your engine and clearance the holes so that the pushrods didn't hit them.  With luck you wouldn't break into the ports  ::)   As far as the EFI system goes, you can get everything you need for a top rate EFI system for under $2000, so I wouldn't let that scare you.  But judging by the manifold, the rest of that induction system might have problems too...

I have never seen the speed master's have the humps over the #1 , #4, #5, #8 intake runners.
Could be newer or older casting though.  I think that guy is trying to get something back for all the polishing also.

Could be an older batch.  FWIW, I have had a 351C "Funnelweb/3V" Speedmaster knockoff on order since February 2016 - still no part.  For at least that part number, there is no indication of continuous production.

Sorry for the late responce.
I did not like the reviews of any of their products.

I did buy, a two year old BORLA/TWN polished injection and all products to make it run, even the pump. At a very,...low price.
It also comes with a FAST computer system. I'll see if I use it or buy a stand alone.

For giggles.... I was looking into the Borla stack injection kits like the one 427HISS recently picked up.  Just curious, how do you think these perform compared to something like the Edelbrock Pro-flow set up.  Is comparing the two of them like splitting hairs in performance or does one perform way better than the other?  The Borla system is quit a bit more money but would make short work of fitting everything under the stock hood.

Let the pro's here to explain, but to me it's more about the electronics, injectors etc, unless it's a mechanical system.
Mine is a TWM then Borla bought them out.

I was wondering how the long tall runners of the Edelbrock compared to the short stacks on an manifold like yours.  I'm sure Jay will have some helpful insight about the whole deal!!

Short runners are biased toward high RPM. Long stacks the other way.

Cannot comment on the current manifolds.  The injector throttle bodies TWM uses are very nice - much better linkage than the Hilborn stuff has, although the cable wheel in the center is a bit odd and sometimes difficult to connect.  Supposed to look like Webers.  The BT intakes they used to use are very small on the ports without a lot of room to open them up.  Stacks are cool, but air filters will flat out KILL the power and make them run really, really rich.  Best to run filters on the street with a different EFI map and change them out for any race work.  I use a FAST xFI or Big Stuff 3 controllers.  The bank to bank runs surprisingly well - - sequential should not be as big a deal with an IR system since there is no shared plenum or varied runner length - probably helps at part throttle and transitions.  IR stuff opens up a lot of throttle blade area with a small move of the throttle - you might have better luck using MAP rate of change for acceleration enrichment instead of just using TPS rate of change like on a single throttle body setup.
