He had some problems, snapped a rocker shaft. PRW stuff but there could have been bigger probs than that. Not real sure what actually happened.

Gotta ask about the 1964 Merc in the background. Is it real? Was it there last year?

Real deal R code Marauder.  Guy named Dave, pitted next to us.  He's had it 30 years.  Beautiful car.  Been goign to this event 3 years now and it never disappoints.

We got that 428 powered 64 Fairlane to an 11.96 @ 112mph after not running since 1989...hilarious fun.

Thanks to everyone who came to the 2016 FERR.  It was another huge success!!!  The event continues to grow despite the tough weather on Friday and another event scheduled on top of our date at another track fairly close by.

Jay you need to be there next year!!  We had folks attend this year from St. Paul to debut their 427 powered all steel '32 Ford.

Jody, who dictates the weekend that this race is scheduled? Seems like a pretty cold and rainy time of year out there, it's definitely not racing weather here in Colorado yet. We always discuss the idea of taking a car or two out there but it never seems that the time of year is right. I'm going to rally the troops and try to make it a week vacation for the Brunson clan for next year, but it sure would be an easier sell if the weather was more trustworthy.

The date originally picked for our first show was 4/27 (2013). Which makes it the last weekend of April. It was a test and tune day on Beaver Springs schedule so it did not conflict with any other Beaver scheduled events. The weekend just became a natural. To curse a successful show is to change the date. Just the way it is. Obviously it's working. Thanks, Doug

I wonder why the 422 motorsports "Dearborn Thunder" didn't try and run pro FE ? That car runs high 8's normally. Have seen it run many times at Bud's Creek over the years.
I was scoping out the externally driven oil pump, not sure how long they been running that. It's one of my favorite cars of there's along with the cammer that wasn't there. Sometimes they will bring as many as 8 or 10 cars to the Ford meet at Bud's Creek.
