« on: March 21, 2016, 11:17:26 AM »
Got my water pump adapters saterday, very nice pieces, wish I knew where I could send them to be anodized, along with some other things. Have looked into home anodizing but idk. I guess i Could powdercoat.

Thanks Keith, I've thought about offering them clear powder coated but with two sealing surfaces that would have to be masked off, it gets kind of expensive at the places I've checked.  If you have your own powder coating gun that would probably be the way to go.  Powder coating is also available in translucent colors, to give the anodized look - Jay

Thanks Jay, I'll check into the translucent color's, I got one of those old harbour freight style powder coating units, worked OK  a few years ago, haveta dig it out and try and do a few things with it. Got some fuel bowls and my home made belt drive plate I'd like to get some color on, maybe a intake or two and the adapter as well.

I dunno, that "transparent red" looks pink to me. Keith, I think Jay is trying to pull a fast one on you here ;)

LOL!  Actually I've used that stuff with a cheapo powder coating gun, and the shade depends on how heavily you apply the powder.  If you go really light it does look pink, but you can make it a pretty deep red if you put enough on.

I think I'll stick with the clear or basic black. Im OK with pink long as a big boobed sexy is wearing it, lol.. I have a black CVS pump, I don't guess the clear aluminum would look to bad on that, would be nice if I could match the black but we all know there's 50 shades of back, maybe just do the whole thing instead.

Jays adapters home powder coated black to match the CVR water pump. Turned out decent for the first try. Got a little trash in it but I can live with it.
