Rescued another FE
« on: March 17, 2016, 12:36:15 PM »
Just a little FE interest story.
My brother Ryan was in need of a new truck and instead of going to a dealer and buying one he made the fantastic decision to buy an old Ford and get it going for a daily driver.
My other brother Scott had a truck that he had purchased a few years ago that was in great shape but didn't run. Ryan bought that off of him.
I love the fact that Ryan can very well afford to buy a new truck but said, "why".
Here's the story from over on FTE if you're interested.

Looks like a sweet truck. Glad to here your converting of your family to the "dark side" is complete. Very cool that he's doing this rather than buy a new one.

That's a sweet piece.
My younger brother Scott is a Bronco freak. He found that one in Colorado.
It runs like a top. I don't have a full picture of it but here is a piece of it from when Ryan and I were driving around the ranch on our last day there.

The Gulf Gas station here had one like that
as a towtruck. All tow stuf mounted on the
bed just tailgate removed
They drowe it over 500 000 kilometers
before the engine needed a rebuild
had a 351 or 400 m engine

Gun rack?? In California? Is that legal? ;D ;D

Gotta love the old trucks. Easy to work on and no $600+ payment. Plus they're just cooler :)
