One strange Q-code 69 Cobra Jet Mustang at Barrett Jackson
« on: January 31, 2016, 05:51:07 PM »
This black CJ Mach1 was seriously stuck at about $25,000 and no more bids were coming in.....The car was NO RESERVE...... tick,,,,,,tick,,,, tick,,,,,. BJ's own "Steve" (Craig Jackson's #1 henchman) stepped up to say: Ladies and Gentlemen this is the real deal muscle car, Chrysler had Hemi's and Ford had the Cobra Jet's, this was the Top Predator!.............  I'm thinking yeah sure, with an auto and A/C I'm sure it was fast. Then I clicked back on the pictures........DAM that looks like an SHAKER on top of that hood..................................Let's look at those pic's some more......DAM again, that does not look like any Select Shift I've ever seen..................
   What say you guys?

I think the police let it slide when the owner decided to swap in a toploader and shaker assembly to that slushbox Q-Code.
A careful study of failure will yield the ingredients for success.

And I've got an R code that I removed the Shaker on and made it a Q code (only by hood design). Still, I consider the dual 4 427 sideoiler in my car to be an "upgrade" over the Shaker :)
