I have used  the Moroso one on 3 cars and I like it, reusable too.
It says it's not made for a stamped steel factory type pan but I've used it on two factory pans with good results.

Thanks rcodecj for that link, I've never tried that gasket, I might have to check it out. Most of my vehicles have a C6 so I get some pan gasket practice. I'm very lucky to have an excellent professional mechanic, BradFord, as a good friend and he has shown me it's key to have a nice flat pan surface for the stamped steel pans. The area around the pan holes tends to "dimple" and he has shown me how to take a hammer and flatten those spots back to flat. He is an expert at it and I will admit to letting him apply his skill to some pans that are well used. But it's really just basic metal working. I just use the generic cork/rubber gaskets with no sealer. The thin pan gaskets will "saturate" with ATF eventually, but being almost an inch wide it takes quite a while as long as that pan surface is flat. I tried the Fel Pro rubber C6 pan gaskets long ago and they leaked something terrible with the stamped steel pans. One other thing to watch for is not to over tighten the pan bolts. If the cork/rubber gaskets really start deforming and squeezing out they will leak and it just ends up "dimpling" those pan bolt holes. A lot of the newer vehicles have a pan gasket that has metal reinforcement rings around the bolt holes and they really help to keep from over tightening the bolts, but I haven't seen any of those available for a C6.

+2 on the moreso gasket.  I lovem.

Be aware tho, it's like 1/4 inch thick so if your bolts are a little short you might need to seek out longer ones (or studs, which I prefer).

I'm using one of these on my current build...haven't installed it yet, but I have high hopes!

Cork works great. The trick is CLEAN and DRY. Tighten the pan bolts, then tighten them again.

I own a transmission shop and there are very few transmissions that I prefer to use something other than cork. The other popular option is Duroprene. It's thinner than cork. The one benefit is it's a little more resistant to having a bit of oil on it during installation. Some trans you just can't reinstall the pan fast enough as a trail of oil forms down the pan rail of the case.

That Moroso gasket looks nice. Not too pricey, especially since you only need to buy it once. It's like what the factory calls "elastomeric pan gasket". Domestics have been using this since the late 90's. Ford's 4R100, AODE, AX4N, CD4E 5R55w,s,n all use it. They carried the 5R55e up til 07-08 and it stilled used cork. GM and Chrysler also use this style pan gasket on some of their units.
