Anyone else watch it regularly? METV seems to play them in order, wondering if there are episodes not showed on tv.

To take place post civil war north east New Mexico there is not many Mexicans or Mescalero in the show. Good story line though. I have never fired a 44-40 but it seems believable enough for a man his size to be able to sling one around.

Only shows on Saturday mornings here.....my 3 year old and I usually get up on Saturday mornings and watch several episodes together.  She loves the part at the very beginning where he racks off 9-10 shots....laughs almost every time.

Chuck Connors started his career as a minor league baseball player.  Apparently he wasn't good enough to make the big leagues, so he took up acting.  I read a story once that claimed he hit a home run, and broke out of his trot around the bases to slide hard into second.  Then he stood up, took a bow, and continued around the basepath.  That's an actor for you  ;D

I usually watch a couple episodes on Saturday mornings also. I have 2 Winchester lever actions, and I can tell you it is NOT easy to fling them around and cock them! John Wayne is about the only person I've seen who could do it with a real rifle, and he made it look easy. He used the special "saddle rifle" with the big hand loop. He was a pretty big fella too.

168 episodes so it you watch enough, you'll likely see them all.

Think I have. Last week I saw two back to back for the first time. The safe robber working for the circus and where they ambush the governor with the Gatling Gun. These past 2 years I have probably gotten more T.V. time than in the previous 38.

I have been watching the series on METV. So far they have skipped episodes 3,4 and 12.
