 Older car.. 1995 - 2001 10.90's
390- .060 over, TRW 12/1, .588 solid lift isky ,  CJ heads , c-6, ladder bar.  10.80's

2002-2004, old car

This was my race car back in 2002 - 2004, home built tube chassis, not a kit, fiberglass front end and doors and deck lid. car completely home built by me except for machine work on engine and cylinder heads. All assembled by me. I did all the fabrication, bent and fitted every stick of pipe,  welding, ect. It was my first real go at a full chassis build, it was a ladder bar car.
The car now (avatar pict) is very different from this as i have built another chassis and made wholesale changes. 4 link and its a completely different animal now and ill be posting it in the project section as im now just waiting on getting things together. The car now is much lighter and much more of a full race piece from engine to chassis .
I just wanted to post the old car here because i feel that for what it was it ran very well.

Very cool car. Even more impressive that you built the entire chassis! Definitely not a job for the novice.

It's a shame the crank destroyed the block, having that much work in it. That's a lot of expensive work to have done on a basic 390. Still, pretty good numbers for what it was. Can't wait to see what the new build is 8)

Thanks. It was a decent car. I ran 390's for a very long time, since around 1984 and have always done as much of the block prep work myself. I do all the oil galley mods and cross bolt main installations myself. . I like to do as much as I can and only send the blocks out for aligned boring and cylinder boring as well as decking. And well of course a few of the last engines have been bored for roller cam bearings. That chassis as well as my recently built one was all bent, notched and assembled by me. I enjoy building them as much as I do racing. I hope to get some time soon to start posting some Pict's of my latest build. Work and a/c season is killing me this year..   Once kuntz gets my heads complete and I get my new intake adapter from jay ill start assembling my new engine. .
Thanks for the kind words..
