wich damper to use

Im about to order parts for my engine
What damper of the ones survival have
shall i order?

If you want to use factory pulleys and have a nice quality part at a modest cost look at the Powerbond.  Made in Australia, black color with a nice finish.

If you are racing and need an SFI sticker you are looking for either the Romac or the ATI.  The Romac is also Australian, SFI legal, and has a nice aluminum finish if you're using billet pulleys and such.  OEM Ford bolt patterns

The ATI is American made, and is the damper of choice for serious racing efforts.  Unlike the others the ATI uses a B.B. Chevy pulley pattern and has the timing marks about 7 degrees off...you'll be doing some fabrication on that one.

Everything Barry said, plus I'll add that the Romac is a nice piece and cheaper than the ATI. Romac has a steel and an aluminum version, but the clearcoat on the steel finish doesn't last real long. It doesn't affect performance though, just gets a bit rusty looking. The ATI just requires grinding your pointer to a new point where TDC is. If you look at my Upgrades To My Mach 1 thread, I posted a couple of pictures of the mods done for the ATI. I've used them both.

the CBB boltcircel is just a tad bigger
like a couple of strokes with a file in each

I've had good luck just drilling the holes in the pulley out to 7/16"; they'll bolt right on the ATI damper if you do that.

Yes, I forgot about that part. I just took a few swipes in each hole with a file and it fit.

I'm going to go out on a limb here.
The Professional Products Damper - SFI 90009 is a very nice Damper and
by the time you get that thing over to you I'll bet you it will be north of $3000.00 Krona.

Timely thread, what would you guys recommend as a bolt on replacement with stock pulleys? Or are the C4AE-6316 replacements readily available good nuff for mild builds?

I'm not sure of the C4AE-6316 is this a new balancer?
You could purchase anyone of the modest priced non race balancers and have great service.
I think it would come down to the look you want.

The C4AE-6316 is the factory Ford part for the balancer on my 390, reproductions are readily available for about $120. I would not mind upgrading to a slightly better one as long as it's a bolt on part that requires no or very little modification. I'll probably pick up a set of new aluminum pulley's at the same time.
