Street Outlaws
« on: May 18, 2015, 07:53:53 PM »
Just sitting down to watch the season premier, 2 hour episode.  Anybody else hooked on this show?  I love it that there's a TV show that speaks the drag racer's language...

Did you see the disclaimer at the start of the show?  Something about racing in a controlled environment?  That's new (not that they haven't always been doing that...)

Love the show! I wonder if the disclaimer had anything to do with the NHRA pulling licences from anyone that street races on the show?  Looks like the popularity keeps going up and up. Its obviously staged but still fun to watch and the cars crank. Soap operas for guys!

Great entertainment. It will be on the DVR, and I'll get a chance later this week to watch and speed through the commercials.

Knew it was staged first time I saw a stand light set going in the back ground. But it's still cars and a drag race.  :D

Farmtruck and AZN add great comic relief!!

That NHRA deal just shows how out of touch the organization is with the grass roots racers.  I'll bet that Street Outlaws has boosted the popularity of grass roots drag racing by a tremendous amount, and what does the NHRA do?  Threaten to pull all their licenses.  Somebody should explain to the NHRA that its a TV show, for crying out loud.  Those guys at NHRA just aren't thinking...

Why should they start now? That's their motto, isn't it? ::)

Street Outlaws vs. Gas Monkey is basically race cars vs. show cars.  I like race cars  ;D

The 405 didn't do so well down in Mississippi...

I guess I am the lone wolf so far. I absolutely can't stand the show. But then again, as a lover of documentaries, I can't stand any of these so called "reality" shows that have taken over once great networks that used to produce quality programming.  >:(  Ok, rant over.   8)
