Opinions on flywheels

I saw some of Dave's comments about flywheels on the old Forum and thought about retiring my 47 year old factory unit. My car is only street driven so I probably don't need the top Centerforce or Hays unit. I'm not likely to see 7000 rpm on the street but I have no idea on the history of previous abuse on my existing flywheel...

Any suggestions for a zero balance flywheel that will work well and fit to my factory 11.5" clutch. Engine is a C/O 427 from 1965 hooked to a top loader 4 speed?

We've been using a Ford Racing part that's made in USA -  seems pretty nice for under 300 bucks.  You can get a Chinese import piece for just over 200.  I have run them on the dyno and they fit OK, but I don't have much experience with them in a car.

Barry - I don't see anything that appears correct for FE in the Ford Racing catalog.  Do you have a p/n for this please?

Never mind - I found it on a search of CJ Pony Parts website.  The zero balance version is M6375N427, $288.35.  Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the info. You didn't mention if my factory clutch bolt pattern was standard across the aftermarket.

Summit Racing shows the Ford Racing flywheel for $280. I didn't see anything on Summit priced below that.

Ever have a problem with balance of a new flywheel (whether China or USA)?

The Summit site says the Ford Racing M-6375-N427 flywheel creates interference between the heads of the crank flange bolts and the clutch when using the factory disc.
Anybody seen this problem? I am thinking the thickness of the M-6375-N427 flywheel is greater than the stock flywheel?
