I find your weight interesting. I've been trying to pay more attention to weight as I gather stuff for my own drag car.

My Mach weighs 3460 pounds. Add me to it and it puts it right at 3600, the same as yours (done on state calibrated scales). Yes, I'm a light person despite being 6' tall ::)

Our cars are very similar in build as far as the drivetrain, but with a few differences. I have iron heads, dual carb intake, toploader and a factory oil cooler, not to mention extra sound deadening added to the entire interior and under the front fenders (to stop stones from denting the tops of the fenders, which a friend found out the hard way), probably adding another 25 pounds just in deadener. All these things would presumably be heavier than what you have on your car, although I'm sure your Gear Vendors OD unit would pretty much equal out the added weight of my 4spd and related hardware.

The only equalizers I can come up with are the rims, you having factory steel and mine being aluminum. My rear rims are VERY light and my fronts are pretty skinny compared to your wide steel rims. That's a lot of weight equalizing given the extra weighted items on my car.

Can you think of anything else that adds to the weight of your car, Jay?

Edit: Dang, as soon as I posted that, I remembered you have a full roll cage and I have nothing. I assume that would equal it out right there.

Back in 2005 the car just had the NHRA roll bar, but it was not chrome moly, it was the heavier .134" wall DOM tubing.  It weighed right about 100 pounds (I weighed it as I was installing it), and interestingly enough with chrome moly tubing the full cage in the car now is also right about 100 pounds.  The aluminum block and heads save some weight, and the driver (245) adds some LOL!  The steel wheels and 235/60-25 front tires are really heavy too, and back in 2005 I was running tubes in the slicks making the rear wheel combination pretty heavy also.
