How to post full sized pictures?
« on: November 23, 2014, 04:40:56 PM »
I am having a difficult time posting a normal sized picture. I keep getting "file is too large" so I down size but they are so small you can't hardly see them. I see some pictures on here that are full page size. Can anyone please help?

Thanks,

Nick

Dunno about other folks, but I use Photobucket.

Code would look like this:
Use brackets [ and ] in front and and behind this

Thanks, I am using the first option in the instructions and dropping a picture from my computer in the attach box, but when I preview the post, I get file too large. I don't have photo bucket. The pictures are just normal 3x5 or even 3x3 so I don't know....

For some reason there's a limit on size when you post the pictures to the forum directly.  I'd recommend Photobucket; its easy and you can put up whatever size picture you want.

and not that I have any stock in photobucket.....
It is annoying to use sometimes, and they run scripts that sometimes freeze up my browser for 30 seconds.
But, I've had pictures up on there for 10 or so years without any problems.  Real handy for linking to forums as the links do not change.

Nothing is more annoying to me then finding a juicy technical article and then find all the photos are gone.
If you absolutely do not want to get a PB account, email the photos to me and I'll post them.

good luck!

Thank you for the offer, that's very generous of you and it convinced me to try Photo Bucket. It took me several tries  to unscramble the test words, jeeze! I just loaded a photo and will now try to post it. Humm...now I am not smart enough to transfer from PB.........Woo Hoo I did it!

Okay, I need help again. After signing up with photo bucket and posting numerous pictures, now it won't let me right click on the pic and highlight "copy" so I can paste it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Photobucket runs a number of scripts that periodically crash.
Running certain popup blockers and mess with photobucket as well.

It didn't used to be so hard to use, but It think PB was sold and it's gotten harder to use.

If the quick link tab doesn't work, you can click on the image itself and to the right of your screen will be links.
Or you can load that particular image and just cut and paste the web address.
Or you can reload the page and hope it resets.
