Those heads do not appear to be NOS. never used

They have at least been on a engine and torqued down. The reason the guides have been knurled, there was wear . .

All those pics and not a single one of the combustion chamber?

Boss 302 cars were high performance cars with special engines.  The Boss 302 head is slightly different from Cleveland heads in that it has provisions for water to go through the intake manifold like a regular sbf engine, but requires special head gaskets, intake gaskets, intake manifolds, etc.  They are low production cars, and engine parts are relatively hard to find for restoration projects.  I have a NOS Boss block that I have owned for over 42 years just waiting on a car to put it in.  I have a NOS intake manifold that is hard to find, etc.  Boss heads are not just cleveland parts.    The '69 Boss 302 heads had 2.230" intake valve, and the '70 was reduced to 2.190" intake valve.  Joe-JDC

I have to agree that they look used, the spring pockets are indented, and head bolt bosses are sunk like it has been torqued down.  Joe-JDC

I very much desire to represent these heads for what they truly are. I will not hide any reasonable issues that come up about these heads. I do not desire to deal with an unhappy purchaser.

I am willing to provide very detailed close up pics to interested purchasers or to those who have the expertise to help with any questions.

I have inspected these very very thoroughly with my 3.0 reading glasses and I am now convinced you guys were right, these are used heads that someone must have spent a lot of time on to make them appear NOS. That's all I can figure out.

If they are truly a matched set they might have some value. If they are not a matched set, not a whole lot as they are used to begin with and will require a lot of machine work. You could easily. Spend a grand without valves to bring them back with new guides, seats and milling without valves.
