I have used a Hughes 10 inch for a number of years and a couple of cams
behind a 428 first at .030 then again .040.
I found that each time the engine got more power the converter got less stall.
When the 428 was in the car last it was pretty hotted up and the converter stalled
around 2600 rpm. A 4000 rpm stall would have better.
I'm now into a Jerico/Soft Lok phase so I will have much better launch speed control.
