Ferrea is the only supplier making valves for our fe's? Actually looks like they are using a valve from a sbc 18 degree race head for the intake valve... And a custom exhaust valve... Which is probably based off a BBC exhaust valve. Looking for 2.15/1.65ish sized valves.. I'm really not to excited about spending 25-30 dollars a piece for ferrea valves for my old iron heads... Thanks for any leads...

I called ferrea a few years ago about 2.25 11/32 valves with 45° seat. The rep acted like I was getting valves for the star ship enterprise  >:(  I know I'm not the only one with that request. All he would say is that is full custom, and he didn't know if a grand would cover them! After that I called dove manufacturing to talk to Earl, he was gone so they got Jim on the phone. I told him what I wanted and he said no problem, call you Monday. Earl called back with an order for valves from P.E.P. He took my card and had them drop shipped to my door. 360 bucks. Very trick valve, they even have the snake skin on the stem for oil retention, I was very impressed.

P.E.P. ? Never heard of them...  That's a nice price if the quality is comparable to ferrea.... Do they have a website? Thanks

REV, racing engine valves, also make valves for different engines.  I recently got a set made for FE, and a set with 7mm stems for a Y-block.  The Ferrea are pricey, but when all else fails, they will make them any size, length, diameter stem.  Joe-JDC.

Thanks Joe... I was on the rev website poking around... Seems they don't have all their part numbers listed for the applications they have listed on the website yet... Lots of Chevy choices are listed but not much ford stuff... Maybe a phone call is in order

Pretty sure that the 2.19 / 1.71 11/32 stem valves I've used are REVs.  Got them from Barry R if I recall correctly...

You have a cool truck and here is some help pal.....

You can call these guys;http://www.bpeheads.com/pictures.htm

They will sell you Manley or REVs.  Talk to Mike, who built engines for Shelby.  The REVs are forged in Argentina and are good enough to go in brand new Cobras, I use them a lot.  The are a fair priced strong part. They stock 11/32 because the Shelby head changed from 3/8, to 11/32 a while back, with other tweaks.

They are also a good source for Manley

ALSO, we make a lot of valves here too, to any size or configuration, these guys have great pricing, they turn and finish the blanks/forgings. SI Valves.

SI Valves supplies a lot of people private label, good valves. They make stock valves, hi flow valves, NHRA legal valves, reduced stems, inconel, titanium. They have about a dozen versions.

http://sivalves.com/index.htm

Now if you are trying to save money, see if a wholesaler among us can help maybe.  Get a quote from BPE,Barry, Brent, Blair for sure.   If you were close by, we could go get you a deal at lunch maybe, I am not here for business reasons.

The BPE guys port a lot of FE heads for a major FE manufacturer/builder too. Also for other real fast builds.  Look at the names on their customer list, Louie Unser(Of the Unsers), Shavers,Shelby,Traco, Saleen, Arias and many more.  And chek out the Drag and Salt cars they do, ton of Cobras, nice guys.

Nice work racing your truck,,,very cool !

Have fun

I have REV make 11/32 stem valves for me in quantity.
They are 2.200 intake and 1.68 exhaust - 5.450/5.425 long
I try to keep several sets in stock but I go through them very quickly
Last time I ordered it only took a few days
Wish I could say that about other suppliers - we seem to be out of lots of stuff lately and are combing the country....

I got mine from Barry, they were reasonable but you get what you pay for in a valve. If you are running it hard invest in good valves, otherwise catastrophic failures happen like heads breaking off the stems or stems snapping in half and dropping a valve. After a failure like that you have a boat anchor or coffee table.
