questions on sohc
« on: February 17, 2014, 03:59:50 PM »
Hi all starting on all the electrics and steering  assembly on the coupe  so have a few questions

1What are people using for the dust cover on the spark plug  . Have tried a 426 hemi don't fit way to large.

2 Is the small double row timing chain the same width as  a sohc  sprocket

3 Is the sohc crank spacer the same length as a normal fe  spacer

Just trying to get all the front of the engine set up before we make any brackets

Thanks

Paul

On the spark plug wire dust cover, there's a guy who is repopping them, and he sells them on ebay.  I think his company is Yellow Engine Service, or something like that.  I bought a set from him a year or so ago and they were very nice.  Those would be the ones to get, rather than try to make some other brand or type work.

Also, SOHC crank spacers are the same as stock FE crank spacers.  I'm not sure I understand your question about the timing chain/gear; can you explain further?
