I ordered my '64 Custom 427 with the 'T' ignition. The box itself was not intended to be 'monkeyed' with but of course the diz was the focus of some attention. There was only one set of points. They were much longer than the pieces spec'd for the dual point arrangement.
When I bought new ones I ordered by number, but I was told that they were also proper for some 6 cylinder application. The diz came with the advance in the '15' position, so a quick change was made to the '10' end so I could use 18* of initial. I was heavily into scuba at the time and I had various scraps of wet-suit foam rubber laying around. I used a piece of it behind the points arm in order to damp any possible attempt to bounce---although it was preventative.
The ignition system was trouble-free.
