Streetmaster gasket matching
« on: January 29, 2014, 03:02:48 AM »
So I have possible changed my tune a little bit on the Stroker build. I bought a Edelbrock Streetmaster intake manifold, and I am shocked at how small the intake ports are. My heads are essentially MR intake ports and the intake ports on the Shelby Sidewinder are a medium riser as well but this Streetmaster is TINY compared to the heads and the Sidewinder. So has anyone ever actually taken these out that far?

I cant imagine being able to even port match to the gasket on the Streetmaster, I am looking at blending at least .150 in each direction to get these to match.

I've never had a problem opening up the Streetmaster ports to medium riser port size, and I've done 2 or 3 of them, so I don't think you'll have any trouble with that.  Of course, don't match to the gasket, because the gasket is probably bigger than the cylinder head port; match to the head port itself.

Hey JayB

The Gasket which is a 1.4 x 2.34 is actually a touch smaller then the Head and intake I have now.
