Just watching "Wheels of Fortune" on the History Channel...
« on: September 28, 2013, 11:06:29 PM »
This is the show documenting the big auction in Nebraska of the car collection that the Chevrolet dealer there stuck away in a field over the last 50 years.  Smack dab between the two commentators, on top of a pile of old car parts, is an FE cylinder head!  FEs are everywhere...

I just got home from work here Sat night, turned on the TV and that was the first thing I saw too, lol. Amazing also since most of the vehicles are scrubs.

Missed the show. But saw an extended video clip awhile ago of a reporter talking to the owner's daughter. Apparently, dad never re-sold trade-ins as he thought they'd undermine additional new car sales. So, he parked them....all of them!

The new but never sold cars are cool, bit it's sad how bad some look as correctly storing so many cars wasn't on the menu.  Some did look pretty good, only needing a wash and cleaning. Others though showed lots of bad effects form the elements. As noted below, those who would not even wash them are stupid clowns in my book.

Still, a lot of greenbacks got traded!
