I had a PA FE to c4 Housing purchased thru Jegs that stayed on back order for about one year.  They kept pushing the ship date back and finally cancelled my order.  Jegs had my money for a year but I wanted the PA bell housing, but never got it.  I do have a QuickTime FE to C4 bell housing, but access to the torque convertor looked better on the PA unit

I have a couple of fe aluminum bells that I think came off of cruisomatics could these be adapted to a C4? Does anyone here have any firsthand experience doing this?

Funny how they can manage a SFI with all those bubble gum welds yet you can't get a SFI on a small repair or modification with a professional grade weld.

Yes, people have made them from the older FX/MX Cruise-O-Matic and the later FMX bellhousings.

Yep, I wouldn't trust that one.  For one thing, it's Speedmaster.  Another thing to consider is how the bell attached to the front of the transmission.  I could be wrong, but it looks like it attaches via the front pump bolts, after the original bell is cut off.  A long while back Performance Automatics sold me a Powerglide with an adapter for their C4 bell, but the adapters bolted onto the front pump bolts.  After a few passes at the track the front pump started leaking like a sieve.  After pulling the trans to repair it, it lasted another month or so before it started leaking again.  So I wouldn't go forward with any bell that attaches to the front pump bolts.

I also see that Speedmaster offers a turbo 400 case, with a ring of bolt holes around the outside of the case itself.  There are 8 holes in their case.  There are 7 holes in the bell in the link.  I wonder if they make a bell with the 8 holes to match their case?  Not that I would trust that either...

was that powerglide a stock case glide with bell cut off?i have used the c4 jw bell and have not had an issue, but the c4 originally came with a bolt on to pump bell.

That powerglide had an ATI case, and the engine made 900+ HP.
