Edelbrock head NASCAR version
« on: November 11, 2025, 08:17:28 AM »
Did they, do they make a head with NASCAR embossed on the face of head? If so, what is different about them?
Thanks

It's the FE Pro Ports that are NHRA Super Stock approved and embossed on the end of the heads with NHRA. You can read up on the Pro Ports.

And when FE's were used in Nascar back in the sixties, there were no Aluminum Edelbrock heads.

The only FE Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads that I have seen with "NHRA" engraved on the ends, were a couple of different varieties , like the small valve 390 heads, and 428 Cobra Jet  versions.  Never heard of a "NASCAR" FE head, especially considering that FE engines were abandoned by NASCAR racers many years before Edelbrock started to cast FE heads.

A friend bought a Comet with an FE. Someone engraved NASCAR on the front face of the Edel cylinder head.
. I was not aware of a NASCAR version, hence the query.
Perhaps the builder wanted to mess with people.
