WTB: C5AE 390 block with crossbolt bosses
« on: October 01, 2025, 01:02:02 AM »
As noted in this post, apparently C5AE 390 blocks with the crossbolt bosses (similar the to late '63 and '64 blocks but with the 4 bolt motor mount configuration) exist and I would like to purchase one.  Thanks in advance for any leads or information.

Thanks.  I'll keep that in mind.  Looking for a 390 version since I already have a stroker rotating assembly with .030 over pistons (4.08) and some Billet Speedworks crossbolt main caps.

Where are you located?
I've got a C5 block that has been cross bolted but is +040 and needs a slight cleanup.
$550 Plus shipping.
I'm in Brookings Oregon 97415

I'm in the big town of Iowa.  Any idea what the current cylinder wall thickness is after being bored .040 over?

Couldn't find the sonic test it this morning, but I know the thinnest cylinder is 0,107 so I figured to take it to 50 over that cylinder would be at 0,97.
Quite sure that all the rest were around .120. The thinnest was either #4 or #8.
I'll look for the chart this evening.

Still looking. My computer hard drive crashed about 5 years ago and I lost a lot.
Think I may have a paper copy but still checking
