While I don't have the "Cobra Jet" script, I have the factory 427 emblem on my R-code Mach hood scoop. Used the Mach 1 scoop because of the dual 4 intake. It's gotten me a few "W" code comments....even though the dash plate clearly says "R".

Speaking of emblems---I know I've seen gold metal 'Bird fender emblems that, instead of '427' instead said SOHC. Does anyone know of a source for such a thing?

My hood scoop has the holes for the badges too, but not for the "CJ" script, thinkin' of adding the "427" badge to fill those holes. I may add "x .468" after the badges to conform to truth in advertising (besides, there weren't any CJs in 66), RodC.

How bout one that says "416 Cobra Jet".
A 410 bored .030 over and all the rest of the parts being Cobra Jet. The only difference would be 10.5 cubes - same stroke, just a slightly larger bore. I was told the 428 is actually 426.5ci.

Reminds me of a custom badge dad made for an old Maverick dirt track racer he had back in the late 70's. It was a pretty darn official looking "Boss 352". He used solder to form the letters and heated them up to make them flow out a little. What was funny was all the guys that would look at the car after races and talk about cars they once owned with a "Boss 352".
