500 hp is not that difficult with the 6V, but you would find it much easier if you had the intake manifold ported by a professional. I recently ported one for a customer back in Delaware, and he made 505 hp with shortie headers on a 406 style engine. He was trying to get another 20 hp with headers, and was very happy with the initial dyno test. I was able to balance the port flow quite a bit, and open up the end carb pad throats, and brought up the average flow of the intake some 60 cfm. Your stroker will be strangled with the stock intake, but will be a torque monster as Jay suggests. Joe-JDC.
