I dont know, seen a couple nice sportsters builds in race trim that looked good. I saw a black one sort of
crossbread of a flattrack and desert slead, that looked real good. But i think only the engine was Sportster.

Yes changing that rake probably involve some cutting and welding to make it handle and look right
Its doabel and cheap if you do it yourself but take some time. About 30 years ago i modified a lot
of motorcycle frames. Old moulded chopper frames hide a lot of surprices under the bondo

A Triumph was stretched with a piece of "conduit pipe" I think whats it called that thinwall pipe
for electrical instalations

. I even found a piece of a horseshoe used to fill up a gap, nuts,bolts, rebar
or wharever that was hany on the floor
